Music

Ever since I was little, I have always been interested in making and playing music. My mother is a very musical person; she can sing very well. The first instrument I ever played was the piano, and then gradually I worked my way to learning the violin. However, I quit violin because of my change of schools after third grade. Once I came into the Edina school system, I was set up to learn the coronet. As a result, I was in band for almost five years. I no longer play the trumpet, but I do make my own music off a computer. So far I have made a five track CD. Music is very important to me, because like art music is a way to express ones self. Since I came into the Edina system in the fourth grade, I’ve never felt like I fit in. I have been told I am not like most kids by my mother and by a few teachers; but I am not looking to fit in. I am looking to meet a few friends on the way and get a good education. However, being different in this school is not “cool”. So to calm myself with situations, I use music as my escape to release my feelings. Slow songs, fast songs, techno, and metal are the types of music that my emotions set on the most. Sorrow, happiness, excitement, and anger are usually the emotions that are portrayed in my pieces. I am different not just because of who I am, but because of what I do. I am proud to be different, and I am proud that my music plays like no other.

Alexandra graduated from EHS in 2011, and decided to focus her knowledge towards genetic technology. While working with genetic science, Alexandra invented a new DNA security system for vehicles, and while searching for new technologies around the world, she came upon a new type of dinosaur structure, while visiting China. The new fossil has been named, “Emotorosaurus” and has been said that the dinosaur had been living after the original dinosaurs had become extinct. The bones Alexandra suddenly came upon ranged from 20ft long and 15ft high, and researchers came up with the conclusion this was the long lost historical dinosaur waiting to be discovered. Alexandra will continue to adventure, with her dreams screaming atop the mountains she conquers.
